In The Gambia, the Bakoteh Shelter is the sole government-run shelter for vulnerable individuals, including unaccompanied children and the victims of trafficking. The Shelter is therefore of vital importance to the lives of many who rely on it for survival.

In The Gambia, the Bakoteh Shelter is the sole government-run shelter for vulnerable individuals, including unaccompanied children and the victims of trafficking. The Shelter is therefore of vital importance to the lives of many who rely on it for survival.
Some of the challenges faced by the Shelter are a lack of the vital resources many people may take for granted. We aim to support the wonderful work of Miriama Badjie, a partner of FF and employee of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Welfare.
The funds raised via this raffle will help provide these resources and make a real difference to the people that the Bakoteh Shelter supports and protects.
The Bakoteh Shelter’s Mandate is Child Protection, Gender Equality, Social Welfare and Women’s Empowerment and your contribution will assist in meeting the goals it is committed to.

The more the teams improve and progress the more they will need our support ; funding for kit, equipment and transportation to away matches for all age group teams. We are aiming to establish sport and talent projects, to identify, nurture and further develop the potential within the under resourced youth. With plans for an Athletics academy for boys and girls being in the pipeline, watch this space!. It is our belief that in doing so we will provide the vital social and recreation space all communities need.
